The Sandisk separation is now eighteen months done: this is a pure mass-capacity storage business with cloud at 89% of revenue.
Bottleneck / pricing power. Pricing power is real and currently extreme — nearline is sold out, spot carries a 30-40%+ premium, and FQ4 2026 non-GAAP gross margin reached 54.4% (+1,310 bps YoY) with operating margin at 44.2%, guided to 55-56% for FQ1 2027. Two qualifiers: exabyte growth decelerated to +22% YoY, so growth is now price rather than bits; and the multi-year agreements out to 2029-2031 are in negotiation, not signed.
